چکیده
Recent years a worldwide interest in the use of alternative sources protein, particular, protein from insects, has increased. Edible insects for thousands have been part human diet Asian-Pacific region and South America, while European Union, USA Canada food purposes is modern trend that determined by care environment, global warming combating, etc. Thus, legal rules governing significant differences among countries. In Eurasian Economic Union requirements to are regulated Customs Technical Regulations. Since none Regulations contains name such as products obtained with these may be classified novel type which subjected state registration. Fundamental applied research should conducted this safety assessment system, include determination nutritional biological value raw materials derived toxicological, reprotoxicological, allergological experiments vivo on several generations laboratory animals. The aim was studying comparing values Hermetia illucens larvae dry biomass basic foodstuffs animal plant origin. Material methods. Nutritional analysis H. minced biomass, dried at 110-120 °C, carried out 83 indicators, included content amino acid composition, fat level fatty carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals trace elements, ash moisture. Results. A study showed high levels (39 38%, respectively), ash, dietary fiber carbohydrate accounted less than 20%. profile had balanced essential acids comparable hen's egg, well other products. composition characterized relatively lauric (39.9% total content), also found some fruits seeds tropical plants; ratio more consistent fish oil. contained carotenoids (0.23 mg/100 g), tocopherol (3.1 g) thiamine (53 ?g/100 amounts significantly lower those foods, traditionally vitamins. Based mineral can attributed calcium, iron, copper chromium. terms above magnesium zinc, exceed main origin (beef, eggs, seafood), potassium phosphorus, it them. Conclusion. results comparative evaluation evidence its value, allowing consider promising source complete acid, elements.

Modulation of nutrient composition of black soldier fly (Hermetia illucens) larvae by feeding seaweed-enriched media
Black soldier fly (Hermetia illucens) larvae are a promising source of protein and lipid for animal feeds. The nutritional composition of the BSF larvae depend partly on the composition of the feeding medium. The BSF lipid profile in part mimics the feeding media lipid profile, and micronutrients, like minerals and vitamins, can readily accumulate in black soldier fly larvae. However, investiga...
متن کاملInfluence of resources on Hermetia illucens (Diptera: Stratiomyidae) larval development.
Arthropod development can be used to determine the time of colonization of human remains to infer a minimum postmortem interval. The black soldier fly, Hermetia illucens L. (Diptera. Stratiomyidae) is native to North America and is unique in that its larvae can consume a wide range of decomposing organic material, including carrion. Larvae development was observed on six resources: control poul...

The intra-puparial development of the black soldier-fly, Hermetia illucens (L.) (Diptera: Stratiomyidae), was studied based on 125 pupae under controlled conditions in laboratory. The 6(th) instar larvae were reared until they stopped feeding, and the prepupae were separated according to the reduction in larval length and degree of pigmentation and sclerotization of the cuticle. The pupal stage...

A chemical and microbiological characterization on Hermetia illucens larvae was carried out as well as an inactivation study of natural contaminating microorganisms and inoculated E. coli O157:H7 in black soldier larvae by using High Hydrostatic Pressure (250 to 400 MPa, for 1.5 to 15 min). Hermetia illucens was mainly composed of proteins (46.49%, d.m.) followed by fat (37.88%, d.m.). Larvae h...

An 8-week feeding trial was conducted to evaluate effects of replacing fish meal (FM) with black soldier fly larvae meal (BSF) on growth performance, feed utilization, and plasma parameters, for juvenile yellow catfish, Pelteobagrus fulvidraco. Six isonitrogenous and isolipidic diets were prepared substituting the FM protein with BSF protein in the following amounts: 0 (control group), 10% (BSF...
